It's funny how fast life can move. It seems like I just created the blog yesterday but it was really a week ago. Robert and I had a really good weekend. We both worked Friday night and that always means that we sleep way too late. But we were determined to wake up super early this time because we had a father's day pool party with Robert's family and then we had Noel's birthday party "aka sausage fest." We were really excited about both parties but of course we slept late, had to rush to get to the pool party but we made it in time and got plenty of food to eat. It was good to see Robert's parents and all of his family that we have not seen since the wedding. It's funny how even when you live in the same city, or 45 minutes away, how little you still see of people. We both want to work harder on seeing everyone, family is important to us both. Noel's party was fun too. Lots of yummy sausage and cheese. It was fun to see people from work, and it's always fun to socialize outside of work. Sunday Robert left for heart camp. He is working as a counselor at a camp for kids with heart conditions that he used to go to when he was a kid and then he worked there as a junior counselor at the end of high school. He was SUPER excited about going and I'll admit I was not the supportive wife. I'm not proud of that but I was being selfish and did not want my husband to leave me for a week. But I got over that and I am really proud of him and happy that he is getting to do something he enjoys. I got the impression that it would like the camp I went to as a kid, rustic, middle of nowhere, small pool but lots of fun! After talking to Robert while he was in his room, and then watching the video on the LeBonheur website, www.lebonheur.org my impression changed. He is not living the rustic life at all, except being out in 100 degree weather and fighting bugs. Its been 2 days, and I'm surviving and so is he. Only 4 more days and he will be back! AND my parents are coming in town Friday and I am beyond excited. I have not seen them since my birthday, which really is not that long but I am used to seeing them once, sometimes, twice a month. It will be nice to spend time with them, shop and eat at new yummy places Robert and I have not tried yet. We will share pictures soon!!
